Yandina’s historic Anglican Church

Hi YADCA members,

As announced back in December, Yandina is the chosen venue the opening event of the “Hinterland to Headland, Poetry in Place” weekend – and YADCA is hosting it.

It’s on Friday 22 January, starting at 6.00 with a welcome to country by Lyndon Davis (Gubbi Gubbi Dancers).

The Pente Poets will perform the poems they have written about Yandina’s heritage and there will be music by local ukulele outfit Uke Crazy People, Steak burgers, sausages, damper and drinks will be on sale.

The grounds of Yandina’s historic Anglican Church is the venue, but if wet weather threatens the event will relocate to the Yandina School of Arts.

YADCA President Marie Reeve has everything pretty much organised, but could use some helpers on the night and in particular is looking for a YADCA member who has a current first aid certificate (and preferably a first aid kit) who would not mind volunteering to be on duty. If you can oblige please let Marie know ASAP.

Regards,

Peter Baulch
Secretary, YADCA
